Zombie cheerleader says: "Rah rah rust!"

Zombie High motto is: "If we can't win using our brains then we'll use your brains!" ;-)

Context is a Lego cheerleader in a graveyard, among other topics

Recorded and posted for Tolkien Femslash Week 2017, for the prompt Sappho 56 (trans. Anne Carson):

not one girl I think
who looks on the light of the sun
will ever
have wisdom
like this

Because is this not the most Nerdanel quote there has ever been?

There are slight sound effects here, but I don't think they should be triggering for listeners with auditory epilepsy, and there is no dramatic reverb/echo for those with auditory processing issues. The biggest difference is in "distance" and a slight volume drop.

This podfic was posted for Day One of Tolkien Femslash Week 2017, for Sappho's fragment 16A:
"Some men say an army of horse and some men say an army on foot and some men say an army of ships is the most beautiful thing on the black earth. But I say it is
what you love."

More things I have learnt from physio - mainly notes to self. I suspect [personal profile] hagar_972 and [personal profile] taennyn may have useful experience here, where I'm just starting out on the same journey they've already been on.

Muscles in the thigh - VMO, lateralis, the big quad one, the sartorius one across, adductors on the inside, abductors on the outside. VMO needs extra strengthening due to hypermobility. The small stabilising muscles tend to give up, then the big muscles compensate, and that's why my hamstrings get tight all the time. Then the hip/bum ones like glute max and glute mede also need help, particularly the latter.

Making sure things activate in the right order is hard. If the lateralis activates before the VMO instead of at the same time, then my kneecap slides sideways and that's one of the reasons it hurts. Trying to activate the VMO first will retrain it so they both go at the same time.

I think my bookshelves mostly convey the message "you need more shelves" and "apparently will read anything that stays still long enough."

Context
is "is this a case for - the ponceyness police?"

[personal profile] owlbrigade1 cites this case in point:

Gotham police are at a loss to explain a sudden rise in animal themed costumed weirdos? Surely the explanation is the same as it is for the long standing animal themed weirdos? It is Gotham, it is what they do. People in animal costumes wreaking havoc is practically a city tradition.

Context, to no one's surprise, involves Harley Quinn.

Robots.txt meant for search engines don’t work well for web archives at Internet Archive

I was fiddling with the RPF pages on Fanlore, and it occurred to me that certain science fiction fandom practices might also have had an influence on Star Trek RPF, since Star Trek fandom was so indebted to sf fandom. SF fandom had faanfiction, where fans wrote stories about each other (I've never read one, so I don't know what these stories read like). Some pro authors did this too. Recently, I read a short story collection by Philip K. Dick that included a story about Poul Anderson getting kidnapped from a convention by people from the future. On the other hand, these practices may have more in common with self-insertion fic than RPF. I have no data to back this up beyond the plot of Visit to a Weird Planet. Has anyone ever written about this?
