* heavy sigh* WHY? WHY??????
I seriously wish that I had a job last summer. Then I would have even money to buy the gold package for the Farscape con. *sigh* But of course, I was too lazy to get off my ass and earn some money so I hope that I'll have enough money by at least mid-May and that the gold packages aren't sold out, or that all the other stuff won't be or I'll be severely disappointed.
However, there might be a glitch in my plan. Several glitches actually. First would be getting a passport, considering the backlog and the new stupid policy implemented by the US government. No offense to my American friends but terrorists come from other countries and come up to Canada, we do not grow them, clone them, or breed them. So basically, IMHO, this new policy about needing passports just to cross the US-Canada border is not improving the relationship between our countries.
Anyways, my other glitch is that my dad might not let me go. *evil glare* I won't die, get raped, or kidnapped. Sci-fi fans.... well, Farscape fans defend each other. Besides, my boyfriend might be coming with me. Which might not be a good idea either to tell my dad cuz of the whole "no sex before marriage/sleeping in the same bed as boyfriend/girlfriend". *sigh*
The good news is that I only need $200 more for the gold package and I supposed around $500 for the travelling and hotel and maybe around $500 for everything else, i.e. merchandise, food, etc.
Yes...
Um....
I hate to criticize my favourite show on TV but...
Seriously! What are the writers smoking? These eps are so boring and lacking creativity. I understand that the final SG-1 eps will somehow lead up to the big finale (and I sorta see how) but the SGA eps are more or less fillers. For example, thathorrific character twist to our beloved Carson Beckett was just uncalled for and a bit too extreme for my liking.
I mean, I know it's sci-fi but it's not sci-fi fantasy, or fantasy sci-fi, or however you label that genre.
Happy Reading Week for everyone in college/university who's off this week. I've got like half the shit I want done actually accomplished, which is actually 90% more than what I expected.
